The SourceAmerica IDEATE competition (formerly the Design Challenge) is a national engineering competition for high school and college students. Student teams partner with a person with a disability in their community to co-create an assistive technology that helps people with disabilities succeed in the workplace. Winning inventions must be able to be replicated in different work environments and increase the earning potential of the people with disabilities who use them.
