Practice Description

A single intake system was developed with assistive technology to improve intake and connection to services needed by employees

Subject matter experts/trainers

• Staff and/or consultant to research technology options, train, and implement chosen system

• Hardware and software to run new system

Labor hours

• Time for staff to train on new system and manage it

• Discern intake processes and features a new system needs to be able to assist with employee intake and management
• Research technology options
  • Website
    • Communicate with potential and current employees
  • Human resources system
    • Automate processes and increase options for employees
• Purchase and implement chosen systems
  • Develop and launch website
  • Transfer over appropriate data from old HR system to new system
• Train staff on use and management of system
• Train staff on options available to them and ways to request support
• Monitor traffic to website and analyze use
  • Consider what needs improvement
• Assess use and usefulness of HR system
  • Any additional features needed
  • Any features not needed

Outcomes/Results

• Assistive technology updates for both the website and HR system have increased intake and service provision for over 150 individuals
