Practice Description

The Employee Advisory Committee gives staff the opportunity to voice concerns, complaints, ideas for improvements, and so on, to a third-party moderator (outside of site supervision).

Implementation Process

  • The Employee Advisory Committee gives staff the opportunity to voice concerns, complaints, ideas for improvements, and so on, to a third-party moderator (outside of site supervision).
    • Notes are taken and tracked on a matrix, so the moderator can assess the results
    • Supervisors are provided feedback 
  • Meetings are held either monthly or bi-monthly, depending on the size and need of the site.
  • Members of the committee are selected by their peers
    • Each member serves for one year
    • Each committee member makes a recommendation for their replacement
  • The committee consists of competitive and hourly employees with disabilities.
