Below are answers to frequently asked questions regarding SourceAmerica's Grassroots Advocacy Conference. Some of the FAQs address the NCSE Forum, which will also be taking place that week.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 9-12.
The conference will be held at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall located at 480 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, D.C. 20024.
All producing network nonprofit agencies are encouraged to apply. Approximately 60 NPAs will be selected to participate in the event.
The deadline to submit the Call for Interest form is May 3.
Yes, the conference is scheduled to be held in person.
Yes. SourceAmerica will reimburse NPAs for travel, food, and lodging for the official duration of the conference for teams of up to three people.
Nonprofit agencies will be required to send one team consisting of a self-advocate, a family member or support professional (optional), and an NPA executive to the conference.
The SourceAmerica Grassroots Advocacy Conference will be hosted by the Government Affairs team. If you have questions regarding the event, email Advocacy@SourceAmerica.org — this account will be monitored regularly, and a team member will respond to you.

NPAs are strongly encouraged to recommend two to three self-advocates. While only one participant will travel to Washington, D.C., the other selected individuals will have the chance to attend virtual trainings that will be held prior to the conference. We hope to empower every participant so they can be part of other advocacy opportunities throughout the year.
NPAs will be responsible for selecting the best candidates for the conference. We respectfully ask that NPAs choose an individual who is employed on an AbilityOne contract and has not previously participated in the conference.
SourceAmerica will be hosting several self-advocate training sessions leading up to the conference. Participation in all training sessions is strongly encouraged but is not required to attend the Grassroots conference. The 2024 training schedule is pending. Please keep an eye on your email for updates.
We expect most congressional meetings to be held in person on Capitol Hill. There is a possibility that a small number of congressional offices may prefer to meet virtually, but the congressional complex is expected to be fully open to the public.
2024 East NCSE CEO/Senior Leadership Forum will be held in Washington, D.C. the same week as the Grassroots Advocacy Conference. For those NPAs that are attending both events, here are some frequently asked questions regarding the forum:

There is no registration cost to attend the NCSE Forum. All travel expenses are the responsibility of attendees.
